The Piece Hall

The Piece Hall is a Grade I listed buiding that was first opened in 1779.

It was used as a cloth hall for handloom weavers to sell the woollen cloth “pieces” that they had produced.

It reopened in 2017 after a three year £19 million restoration project.

Gates open Monday – Saturday: 0700; Sundays : 1000.

Shops : Monday – Saturday 1000-1800; Sundays : 1100- 1600.

Restaurants, cafes and bars : til late.
